From the Editor in Chief
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Maiden Edition of the Nigerian Journal of Engineering Research. This journal publishes original research work submitted by authors, the journal welcomes and maintains high-quality articles that are innovative. The Journal is of quality and of a high standard, promising to be among the best journal of engineering in the 21st century and beyond. The journal is published twice a year with zero plagiarism.
The aim of establishing the Nigerian Journal of Engineering Research is to create a forum for the publication of well-researched articles in all areas of Engineering and Technology for global competitiveness.
This journal accepts research work that presents, original/novel research of existing knowledge, collation of relevant data of interest or investigation, and exploration of new ideas as applied to Engineering and technology. Only original articles which have been peer-reviewed to show new or additional knowledge may be considered for publication
NJERU Policy
The Nigerian Journal of Engineering Research is committed to ensuring ethics regarding article publication. It conforms to standards of ethical behavior, zero plagiarism, no conflict of interest. Articles published will always include original research work, recent survey, informative reviews, recent trends, and innovation in the broad field of Knowledge in Science, Technology and Engineering around the world. The journal is focused on a fast and rigorous peer-review process to ensure high accuracy, adequacy, relevance and originality of submitted manuscripts.

Peer Review Process
All articles submitted will normally go through Peer Review process, which is a measure of assessment of a manuscript/paper/article by one or more reviewers of the same expertise or proficiency. These methods are more suitable for the assessment of journals' performance, accuracy, adequacy, and quality of work. This process makes NJER a scholarly peer-review journal.
The final assessment of the manuscript is the responsibility of the Editor in Chief after reading the comments from the reviewers. The Editor in Chief has the right to accept, reject or accept the manuscript with corrections. Once the manuscript is accepted, the publishing process commences, usually, an article publication fee (APC) will be required. The Author of the accepted paper is given a specified timeline to pay the APC. In the case of not being able to meet the deadline for payment, the accepted paper may be published in the next issue as soon as the APC is paid.
All articles submitted to NJERU are not being considered elsewhere or accepted for publication in another journal. It should be noted that the contents of any article are the sole opinion of the author(s) and not of NJERU.
